Jordan Chiles, a 9-time Team USA Gymnastics member and a Tokyo Olympic Silver medalist, shares the importance of having a strong support system and how it has helped her overcome difficult situations in life. She takes us through her journey, starting gymnastics at age six, and making her first National Team at age 12, all the way to becoming an Olympic medalist. Jordan shares the many ups and downs of that journey, describing the destructive coaching relationship, and she nearly lost her love for the sport. Jordan reminds us that having someone to talk to and let our emotions out is incredibly important for our mental health. She emphasizes that we need to use our voice, and advocate for ourselves, and just to “Be you. You’re beautiful. You have every right to show what you want to show and express what you want to express.” - Jordan Chiles.
