College basketball is back in a big way.

If the first week tells us anything, it’s that this season is going to be electric. From transfers shaking up rosters to upsets making early statements, NCAA women are reminding us why we love this game: the energy, the heart, and the stories that deserve to be seen.

1. Talent is on the move.

If you noticed that your favorite teams have some new faces this year, you’re absolutely right. The NCAA transfer portal has been busy. The pre-season top-10 teams alone have 22 transfers on their rosters.

The transfer portal gives athletes the chance to make their mark somewhere new. Whether it’s for better opportunity, fit, or growth, these women are showing us that change can be the catalyst for something great.

1. Upsets are in the air in Paris.

The City of Love was the City of Upsets this year, with No. 16 Baylor defeating No. 7 Duke in the Oui-Play Paris event.
